Choosing Butterfly Wind Chimes
Monday, February 11th, 2008By adding a butterfly wind chime to your garden it will become a more beautiful and relaxing place. However fun and beautiful they may be, wind chimes have a practical side too. Wind chimes date back to antiquity and have often been used to provide good luck or ward off unwanted spirits. Wind chimes can be highly-ornate and have been used as art objects in religious facilities and homes.
Once used as weather forecasting tools, wind chimes are now used for the beauty of their decoration and sound. A variety of materials can be used to produced them, including: wood, bamboo, metal, glass, or copper. Because of the different materials that are used, more than one set may be located in a given area using the different tones.
The relaxation brought about by listening to the gentle tones of a wind chime can aid in meditation. Based on the kind of wind chime you have, the resonance and vibrations from them can work effectively to calm and soothe your mind. When external noises are blocked by more positive sounds, you feel more serene and relaxed.
Have a great day!
