Choosing Butterfly Wind Chimes

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

Butterfly wind chimes provide a restful ambiance to any garden. Wind chimes, while aesthetically pleasing, also have pragmatic purposes. Wind chimes have been around for a very long time, and are often employed to ward off bad spirits and garner good luck. Carved and decorated wind chimes have been used as beautiful additions to many ornate churches and homes as individual works of art.

Originally conceived to help forecast weather, wind chimes are now used more for enjoyment of both their look and sound. You can use any of a variety of materials, wood, metal, copper, glass or bamboo to create pleasant sounding wind chimes. Different chime tones made by the different materials they are made of can cause there to be more than one set within certain boundaries.

Better meditation is possible when you relax to the melodic tones of a wind chime. Based on the kind of wind chime you have, the resonance and vibrations from them can work effectively to calm and soothe your mind. External noises that cause you to feel nervous and upset can be blocked by more positive sounds.

Make your home your own!
